7-5-3 Academy, has the developed weekly STEAM Summer Leadership Warrior Course programs with a new main topic and theme each week. All of our courses are based on the well-known 5E Instructional Model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate).
Each weekly course is designed to keep kids engaged, active, and learning in a positive and encouraging atmosphere. In addition to the weekly theme presented each week, other daily activities and topics include: karate, arts and crafts, story creation, science projects, Japanese language fundamentals, karate weapons training (indoor axe throwing, baton, sai, tonfa, etc), and so much more.
NOTE: We are not a licensed in Arizona as a childcare facility. We are a Youth Martial Arts Academy, providing unique learning opportunities year round.
Designed to be more then a traditional martial arts program or a boring summer school class. We have developed a program blending fun, STEAM education, and martial arts into each of our Summer Warrior Courses.
Youth will be led on a journey of discovery of science and problem solving through STEAM topics. They will also learn martial arts and gain positive self-image and self-reliance, focus, respect, and compassion. They will also be guided to develop balance through arts and crafts, story and theater, Japanese language fundamentals, and STEAM projects.
Our Summer Warrior Course provides a one-of-a-kind, all-inclusive summer experience unlike any other.
Extended care is provided as an option, allowing parents and kids to benefit from an amazing, convenient, and stress-free environment.

7-5-3 Academy developed the Summer Warrior Course not only for youth. Our inclusive summer course is a one-stop location to help you with your work, ability to perform daily errands and life's requirements while alleviating the worry over your child's activities.
The 7-5-3 Academy code of ethics are ground in the principles of the Bushido Code and the 7-5-3 Code. All students and instructors will uphold the values of Respect, Honor and Integrity.
Our philosophy and method of teaching is based on creating an enrichment of life through balance and self-discovery using not only the physicality of martial arts, but the beauty in art creation, understanding of others through foreign language, and unlocking the mysteries of Earth and beyond using science.

Daily Routine
The daily routine and times will vary each week with each theme. The following is an example guide to the daily breakdown of activities.

EXTENDED CARE
If an emergency, work schedule, or if you elect to use this service, and the pickup of your child is not possible by 3:30 p.m., they will be enrolled into Extended Care. During Extended Care, youth will be participating in our Youth Karate Program.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - 3:30 to 5:30p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday - 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Any appropriate billing for extended care is per 30 minutes block, whether it is the whole 30 minutes or a fraction of it. If service is used, credit card on file will be charged for the service. This is solely at the discretion of 753 Academy.
For members with an active Youth Membership Plan, extended care is provided for FREE on Mon, Wed, Fri.

Members with active Youth Membership Plan - Tuesday and Thursday - $15 per extended care block
Non-Members without an active Youth Membership Plan - $25 per extended care 30-minute block. Become a Member and SAVE $$

Week 1: June 8 - 12
Jedi Academy
Do you have a calling for balance and order? Ever wonder what it would be like to wield a light saber? The 7-5-3 Jedi Academy will open it’s doors for one week of training. Using our light sabers, youth will experience the power of balance, while learning sword techniques and movements. We will be exploring the techniques and movements of the Jedi and how to win against the dark side.

Week 2: June 15 - June 19
Wilderness Survival
This is the opening week of our Summer Warrior Course.
What do you do if lost, injured, and with no shelter. Youth will be learning about survival in the wilderness from navigation, map reading, using a compass, making a shelter, first aid, and so much more. This information is a must for modern adventurers.

Week 3: June 22 - 26
SECRET AGENT
Youth will be travel across the world as a secret agent on a mission to find the stollen secrets and stop world disaster. The journey will begin as all things do… with a story. The mission, should they chose to accept, will self-destruct in 5..4..3..2…lol, will be to learn to become a secret agent with a mission to discover who is the double agent, navigate dangerous countries, avoid confrontation, infiltrate Castle Gloom, and recover the secret plans.
This is a STEAM course. Youth will learn communication and deduction skills, how to navigate and create maps, solve problems and formulate plans. Topics also include fingerprints, costume design to blend in, how to detect and avoid surveillance, use of technology, self-defense methods, covert communication skills, the language of secret agents, and so much more.

Week 5: July 6 - 10
Dinosaur Week
Are there any living dinosaurs today? We will be traveling back in time to look at some amazing dinosaurs, and their current living descendants.
Youth will learn about paleontology, discover fossils, use imagination to create the ultimate dinosaur, and explore different types of today’s living dinosaurs. After this week, looking at rocks and animals will never be the same again

Week 4: June 29 - July 3
Movie Magic
We will explore the excitement of creating a movie using stop motion animation. Youth will be provided with different props to plan, shoot and edit their own stop motion animation short movie.
Youth will work as part of a team and be guided through the entire process of stop motion animation. On the final day, the groups will present their created movie and leave with a digital copy for themselves.

Week 7: July 20 to July 24
Around the World in 5 Days
We have all heard of Around the World in 80-days, well, we are going to see the world in one week. We have a fun and explorative way to journey around the world, learn about different cultures and people, animals, foods, famous archeological sites and places of mystery and wonder.
Each day this week will be centered on a new continent. Our plane departs 7-5-3 Academy, and journeys to destinations in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, before returning home.

Week 6: July 13 - 17
Space Travel
Did you know the anniversary of the Moon Landing happens in July? There is no better time to get lost (and found) in space. We will be exploring space from science to the science fiction.
Youth will explore the planets and other solar systems, and gain the knowledge of the stars. They will gain the knowledge of problem solving, building, engineering their own space ship and colony to explore the uninhabitable planets.
